[Contractor & Chain] - Daisuke Kirai, Beysuke Kirai

Personality: Daisuke is a friendly, and optimistic boy. He's a real mood-lifter, and doesn't get easily pulled down by bad situations. For a boy, he tends to giggle alot, and not act like his age. It's as if he got stuck mentally at the age of 14. Thus, he usually tends to be isolated in a group of people, as he can act quite awkward. When you barely know him, though, he's a closed off boy, showing mostly depression. Although he's mostly cheery, his emotions aren't onesided. When depressed, Daisuke tends to get go over the top, and cry like a little kid instead of searching new ways to solve the situation at hand. Also, due to past experiences, he has trouble talking to strangers, and tends to run away. When finally becoming a close friend to him, Daisuke would do anything to protect them and help them through any situation. The boy also has short bursts of moments when his "mind is actually mature" and acts like his age. Also, frankly, since he looks so young, most people don't even realize his age.

And something else in his past caused him to almost completely shut off.

As I will soon explain in the History as to WHY, Daisuke has a second personality. He calls himself Natsuki Kirai, to make sure that he's being treated as a different person. Natsuki is rough, mental and outragously evil. Frankly, he has no problems insulting somebody and attack anyone - although they might be stronger then him. He has no problem killing somebody, and would even throughoutly enjoy it, laughing maniacly. (Although it doesn't make sense, just for the sense of recognizing who's who, Natsuki has yellow eyes, whilst Daisuke has brown eyes.) Natsuki's willing to do anything to gain power. Killing, stealing, assasinating somebody - anything.

As a note: Natsuki knows of Daisuke, but not in return.


Nightmares: Daisuke is afraid to be completely isolated, and die alone. He's afraid of deep waters, but also huge fires. In a sense, Daisuke is pretty afraid of anything that can possibly harm him.

History: Daisuke had a relatively normal life. Both his parents were Contractors, and had been fighting berserking Chains for a lifetime. Thus, they were kinda rich, but barely had any time for the little boy. To pass his time, Daisuke tend to talk to himself, or to his plushies. Do mind, that because his parents were Contractors, the children neighbours didn't want anything to do with him. The boy went agressive over this, attacked anything and everything, so... They thought he was dangerous. Daisuke grew up missing his parents, missing company and compassion...

...So, he made himself an imaginary friend. A brother.

His name was Natsuki. He looked exactly like Daisuke, only that he had bright, blue eyes, and a constant cheery attidute. He played with Daisuke whenever he needed him, cheered him up when he was sad... he was the perfect big brother, that only wanted to see his little brother happy. Thanks to Natsuki, Daisuke was able to control his agressions somewhat. The hot-tempered boy always got calmed by his brother, although nobody ever understood what was going on.

But, over time, Daisuke forgot that Natsuki was part of his imagination. He believed that he was real.

His parents sent him to a pyshological hospital to get him fixed up - but the boy never cared about what the doctors, OR his parents said. He only cared about his brother, that only he could see and care about. He had the best friend, always with him. But, over time, Daisuke wished that he was like his brother. He wanted to be cheerful, optimistic... and caring for others. He forced his imaginary friend to switch roles with him...

Daisuke was now the one who took care of Natsuki. Natsuki was forced to eat all of the depression his owner felt, and grew too mad for Daisuke to control. In the time of the hospital, Natsuki grew to become his own being inside Daisuke's soul. He became real.

As one day, the boy returned to visit his parents, he found out that his home was broken into. The door was wide open, and inside reeked a smell of blood and death... as he stepped inside, he quickly found the mangled corpses of his parents, and their Chains. Shocked, and in terror, the boy wanted to simply run out and flee, but...

The murderer, a vicious and powerful Chain was still inside the house. Noticing the successor of the Chain hunters that killed his bretheren, the beast Charged for Daisuke. The boy was ready to die when...

Another Chain went up and protected the young boy. He had purple hair, glasses, and clothes that were alike the boy's. The fight was harsh, and the guardian of the boy took some wounds, but in the end, he succeeded. Smiling the newfound friend turned towards the traumatized boy. Without saying a word, the stranger hugged Daisuke, to comfort him.

"Don't worry... I'll be here to protect you from now on... My name is Beysuke. I'm a chain, but... I wish to be your friend and make a contract with you. Many chains are after your family, because they're famous for killing many of the evil ones." The Chain said, with a concerned voice and look.

The boy nodded. From his parents he knew what it meant to make a contract... He got the device to make the contract, sealed the Chains blood into it, and succeeded to become a Contractor.

The contract was sealed.

Thanks to this traumatic experience though, and his rather missed childhood, Daisuke got rather stuck mentally at when his parents died, at the age of 14. That's why he acts childish, and Beysuke is now the voice of reason.

The boy didn't use Beysuke to fight, but rather as a friend and brother, and spends his life now in a new family who takes care of him. Although he's grateful for what they're doing for him, he doesn't feel any emotional connection to his caretakers. He usually spends his days playing with Beysuke, who smiles at Daisuke's childish behaviour. Mystery shrouds the Chain though, as it's strange, how he knew that Daisuke was in trouble...

Personality: Beysuke is the voice of reason. He tends to have a serious expression, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't know how to have fun. In relaxed situations, he can laugh quite alot, and be friendly towards anybody around. Even the most stuck up of people wouldn't hold this party-machine once it gets going! It's just when Daisuke is involved into ANY danger, that his attidute changes and becomes mean. He wouldn't allow anybody to get close to the boy who could endanger him, and would attack mercilessly. He's also generally untrusting when it comes to strangers approaching Daisuke, but when it's him alone, he can act all buddy-like.

In rare occasions, Beysuke becomes depressed and has his days where he cannot cheer up, no matter what. Something seems to be bothering him, and dull his mood for quite a while. Only Daisuke in this situation can sneak a smile out of Beysuke.

Towards Daisuke, Beysuke is like a brother, friend, and father at the same time. He picks him up, carries him around, helps him in any situation and toys around. He also can scold the boy if he's behaving bad, which usually isn't the case. And, no matter how he's feeling, Beysuke would shove his problems behind to solve Daisuke's.

Nightmares: He's scared of losing Daisuke out of his sight, or losing him to his own darkness within. As he's overprotective, Beysuke tends to be nervous and frantic when Daisuke wants to do things alone. He's also slightly aquaphobic(Afraid of water) and can't stand to go into deep water at all without panicing.


History: Beysuke's past is barely known. All he ever told is that he was waiting for Daisuke to show up, so he can become his Chain. He also mentioned that he used to fight against someone, and that hunting was in his blood since ages now.

He also says that protecting Daisuke was his duty, given to him at the age of 20 as he got forced into the abyss.
